Re: 99.5%!!!

Good to hear things are going well for Mr E (although I do keep up with you elsewhere ;) via my alter-ego.) I too am aware that I don't post often although I do keep a check on Active Topics once a week or so. All the best to you both.

Re: Awareness Week 23rd - 30th September - Haute Vienne

Too far for me (as are so many things like this, which is a shame) but have a good time. You wouldn't want any of my baking efforts though, that is for sure! Have a good one.

Re: Generic medicines

And about time too. Lots more legislation along these lines on the way - including the rights for pharmacies to negotiate prices for generics and more, according to Figaro reports and others. Certainly the system needs a good stirring up. One of my anti-vomiting drugs was unavailable one month and w...

Re: Two steps forward, one back!

Oh dear. When the doc' says don't lift heavy stuff - they normally mean it!! :-) I'm sure it will turn out to be no more than over-stressing recent scar tissue. Let's hope so.

Re: cancer plan for france

My appologies. I visit but rarely (I try not to be too "cancer minded" when in remission - if that doesn't sound too selfish!) It's odd though because my gynae', who did all my surgery and who does all my follow-ups (follows-up?) was quite surprised that the onc' had not written one thing ...

Re: cancer plan for france

There is a guy on another forum I am on* who sent me some info' about specialist cancer centres here. If your local hospital is being so offhand then you have as much right to a second opinion as anybody. In your shoes I'd be back to my gp to ask if you can go elsewhere. That just ain't good enough,...

Re: The Carer

Sometimes, when I read posts from other Forum users, I quietly feel ashamed in that their plight is far worse than ours. No reason at all to feel this way! Absolutely. When I re-read my post I realise that I sounded a bit like that Monty Python sketch where they compete for the worst and most pover...

Re: Treatment for ovarian cancer

Oh, b*mm*r. I have had first line treatment only - my first 3 month checkup after the all clear is on Friday and I'm very nervous about it. Sorry I can't help with this but to send some sisterly support. You could try the Ovacome forum - OK they're UK based but are full of helpful stuff and helped m...
