Nearly there!

Post by evianers » Sat Jul 07, 2012 8:26 pm

It has been a while since we posted on the forum - not that we haven't thought about you all and what you are going through.
We're nearly there. That is to say that the never-ending round of hospital/doctors/clinic/waiting rooms is diminishing, as are the inevitable blood tests, urine tests, scans et al. We have actually had a break from all the above : our next check-up is on 22/08.
So Mr. Evian is doing really well - how a positive attitude helps! There are one or two slight setbacks unfortunately and perhaps the most difficult thing at the moment is broken nights when hasty exits to the bathroom are essential. But by and large, to look at him, one would never imagine that 2.5 months ago he was supporting 5 different drips, and only 2 months ago daily visits from cheerful district nurses. So in case this helps anyone, it does get better - it is a question of time and effort but our lives now are rapidly becoming back to normal. Oh..... and don't leave it two years like you-know-who did before getting the nether regions checked Chaps!

What continuing GREAT news for you both!!!! :D Do keep posting, it is so encouraging for others to read positive stories and also to find out how you coped and what you had to cope with. A lot of fear surrounding cancer, I feel, is of the procedures and an inkling of what to expect is such a help.

Keep smiling and roll on the unbroken nights!!!! :!:
