Parkinson's Support in France?

Post by ValerieV » Wed Nov 05, 2014 9:07 pm

I'm wondering if anyone knows if there are any English speaking helplines specific to Parkinson's disease in France?

I can't find anything except a French site.

Not meaning to intrude on your webspace, but I thought this might be the best place to ask!

Hello Valerie,

I am pleased you have tried the forum, it may be that someone knows someone.......

I did put "living in france" on the UK Parkinson's Forum ( and it did come up with a couple of posts from people in France. If you haven't tried that, then maybe you could e-mail those people as they may have found some support?

And don't hesitate to post here if there is any support that we could give.

Good luck and best wishes,

Hello Valerie
Another idea. In your area do you have any english magazine/newspapers or associations where you could ask or write a letter? Here in department 87 we have the Bugle newspaper, Ectetera magazine and in 23 there is the Creuse news. There is also the Connexion newspaper which covers all of France but I am not sure if you would have to pay.
Good Luck
