I would love to visit friends in the Far East where I lived for many years. I cannot seem to get enough time in between chemo courses to go anywhere. I was informed that there were other drugs available but as I was so sick with the morphine, I have been a bit afraid of trying new ones.
Another question, I normally have an annual travel policy but as I have cancer, the premium is now prohibitive. Has anyone else been faced with this, is there an insurance company out there that might cover me? I presume my European health card will cover me if I have a problem in UK

Re: Travel Insurance
Extract from next edition of 'Touchlines' (which has just gone to press':
"Emma Simon in the Daily Telegraph (30 March, p B16) reports on the difficulties encountered by cancer patients in obtaining travel insurance. Premiums, she reports, can be as much as 10 times higher – if cover is offered at all. She gives a list of specialists insurers prepared to cover these risks at a more reasonable rate."
Afraid I haven't got the original article to hand any more, so can't give actual details of companies.

Re: Travel Insurance
Try putting "travel insurance for cancer sufferers" into Google. There are several interesting looking sites (I can't put the links on the forum, as this is against the forum policy) and a lot of useful information.
Good luck!!

You could try "Vivreavec" here in France. They will ensure you with cancer, with the cost being about 10% of the holiday cost
