GPs who speak English
This forum came about because a French GP asked CSF for the names of English speaking GPs in his area to better support a patient.
The information is passed on here in good faith. It is not a recommendation for a particular GP, nor is it intended to imply that a GP is fluent in English.

Re: GPs who speak English
My Medecin Traitent speaks good english. He is based in Frevent, Pas de Calais region 62, for information, just pm or email me.
Also I had to visit a gynaecologist at CHAM (Centre Hospitalier d'Arrondisement Montreuil), Dr Dominique Parmentier, spoke perfect english.

Re: GPs who speak English
Most of the doctors, be they GPs or specialists speak English in this area.
That is because we are in a multi-cultural corner of the world, close to CH.
It is in their interest to learn to speak good English because of the number
of different nationalities in our region. Please feel free to PM me if you need
further information or recommandations.

Re: GPs who speak English
Thinking about it, we are very privileged that so many of our doctors and specialists speak English.
One of my English language students is a young man who wishes to study medicine and he comes to me before going to University because he realises that speaking English is definitely a bonus. In fact, although some of the doctors are a little shy of speaking the language, when push comes to shove and they need to have us understand completely, it is amazing how much comes to the surface.
Norman H has posted a list of very helpful hospital/doctors questions and answers on the English Forum under the Health section FYI.
Bon courage!

Re: GPs who speak English
could you post a link please, which english forum is it, thanks
Re: GPs who speak English
It used to be called "Living France" but has now changed to "Complete France".
The link is as follows : http://services.completefrance.com/FORU ... CS/forums/
there are many categories, but the one you need is "Health". There might also be additional information under the website Total France, but this is not known to me. NormanH is a regular contributor to the first forum, as he has also been "in the wars" and knows what it's like coping.....
If you need more help, feel free to PM or post on this forum. All the best
