Post traumatic stress disorder study

Postby pennycsf » Mon Nov 20, 2017 11:34 am

Below is a report from the BBC on a study into PTSD which lasts long after the initial diagnosis and treatment have come to an end. The study, by a Malaysian team, uses only a small sample but it does add to the increasing research into the problems people are facing "living with cancer" rather than "dying from cancer".

Another related article from Macmillan, also to be found on the BBC, shows that vastly improved diagnosis and treatment means that far more people are living with advanced cancer for many years. This brings its own challenges and needs to be tackled by health experts.
