When people are undergoing chemotherapy, their resistant to infection often becomes very low and they need to avoid close contact with anyone who may pass on coughs and colds.
Fortunately the flu vaccine does not give you flu, but should someone in mid chemo have the jab?
According to Cancer Research UK, the answer is usually 'Yes'. But do check first with your oncologist who can best advise and also tell you when the vaccine should be administered. Have a look at this link:
