There has been a report on the BBC recently about a man who became ill after taking green tea supplements and required a liver transplant seemingly as a direct result. This has been followed by an article about supplements, their benefits and possible disadvantages. See here:

The tips at the end of the article are all sensible but do not mention that people taking other prescribed drugs (such as during cancer treatment) should check with their medical team before taking any supplements. Even the most common supplements could interact with treatment.
