UK cancer statistics

Postby pennycsf » Mon Feb 15, 2016 11:40 pm

As in France (February statistics published by INCa), Cancer Research UK has recently published the latest statistics on cancer and survival rates. With improved and better targeted treatment, many of the common cancers - breast, prostate - have improved survival rates over the last few years. Unfortunately, more and more people are being diagnosed with cancer due to better screening, longer life expectancy, sedentary lifestyle.....

Here is an article from the Guardian and the figures can also be found on the Cancer Research UK website.

Have a look, it makes interesting reading! :)

And here is an article from Le Monde (in French) on similar improvements in France.
