Sadly, we may be faced with having to cope with the death of a partner or friend. What are the formalities in France?

This useful booklet by Angela Clohessy, updated in May 2014, explains the procedures and tells you what documents are required. She leads you through registration of the death to possible repatriation of the body to the UK, as well as how to choose an undertaker and setting up a funeral insurance plan.
