Well what a surprise! The BBC has published today (12th September 2013) the results of research carried out at Imperial College London since 2007 which shows that keeping to a healthy weight and taking regular exercise can reduce the risk of womb cancer. That doesn't come as a huge surprise to me, being fit and healthy generally improves ones chances of remaining disease free - be it cancer, heart disease or many others.
What is interesting is the figures quoted and the frightening statistic that only 39%
of women have a healthy body weight!
The study found evidence that about 3,700 cases could be prevented every year if women were active for 38 minutes a day and maintained a healthy body weight.
In the UK only 56% of women follow recommendations to be physically active for at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week, while only 39% have a healthy weight.
Come on ladies, cut back on the cream cakes and get jogging!!!

yeah well NO surprize to me!...A walk down any High Street back in the UK (and unfortunately beginning here too) will show what shape women's bodies are in!
